Data Collection
Last updated June 19, 2026
This page is a plain-language summary of the data Statside collects, why we collect it, and who can see it. It complements our full Privacy Policy, which controls if there is any difference.
1. What this covers
Statside is used to keep live game statistics for teams and athletes across many sports. To do that, we collect the information described below. Most of it is information that you and other users choose to enter, and you stay in control of it. For the complete legal terms, see our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
2. What we collect and why
| Data | Examples | Why | Visible to |

| Team | Team name, short name, location, level, sport, logo, colors | Build your team and its pages | You, your league, public if you enable it |
| Player | Player name, jersey number, positions, biography, photo | Identify athletes and attribute statistics | You, your league, public if you enable it |
| Game and stats | Scores, play-by-play, box scores, season totals, schedules, brackets | Keep the book and compute totals and leaders | You, your league, public if you enable it |

| Technical | IP address, device and browser, log data, session cookie | Operate, secure, and keep you signed in to the Service | Us and our hosting provider |
We do not collect special categories of data such as health, biometric, or government identifiers, we do not sell personal information, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.
3. Player and youth athlete data
Because Statside serves youth, school, and amateur sports, much of the player information is about minors and is entered by coaches, statisticians, or parents. The person who enters a player's information is responsible for having the authority and any consent required from a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly let children under 13 create their own accounts. Parents and guardians can ask the team or league that manages the data, or contact us, to review, correct, or remove a minor's information, or to make a team private. See the youth athletes section of our Privacy Policy for details.
4. Who can see your data
- You and your collaborators: the people you add to a team can see and edit its data based on their role.
- Your league: if your team joins a league, league administrators can view and, where enabled, correct member-team statistics.
- The public, only if you enable it: public team and game pages and embeds are off until you turn them on. When enabled, team and player names, jersey numbers, and statistics can be viewed by anyone with the link and indexed by search engines.
- Our service providers: the vendors listed below, acting on our behalf.
5. Service providers we use
We use these providers to operate the Service. They process data only to perform services for us.
