Lacrosse is a possession sport disguised as a scoring one. The goals get the crowd up, but the game is decided in the scrum: who scoops the loose ball, who strips the carrier, who wins the clamp at the X. Statside tracks the whole picture from the box score. Faceoff % is the stat that separates control from chaos. A dominant faceoff man hands his offense extra possessions every quarter, and those possessions compound. The math is simple: faceoff % = faceoffs won ÷ faceoffs taken. A specialist who goes 14 of 22 sits at 63.6%, and over four quarters that edge is a dozen extra cracks at the cage. It rewards technique on the clamp and hustle on the ground ball, not just raw speed.

Entry stays fast because it is box-score based. Log the game from a phone at the field or fill it in after from the scorebook. Watch the possession pair: ground balls and caused turnovers. A caused turnover is a defender actively taking the ball away, a check or a poke that ends a possession, while a ground ball is who came up with it. Both post to the player's public page and feed season leaders automatically.

Good and great show up in the rate stats over a full season. Shooting % (goals ÷ shots) tells you who finishes and who forces it. Save % (saves ÷ shots against) sorts the goalies who steal games.
